"In 2019 I watched a documentary called Raw that changed my life. It spoke of people healing conditions, everything from allergies to skin conditions to cancer and type 2 diabetes That same evening, after eating the standard American diet of meat and dairy my entire life, I adopted a raw food diet. In roughly 30 days I began to see changes. I had lots of energy & then that year I had no seasonal allergies that I had since a young child and they have never returned in over 4 years. I reversed chronic back pain that I had since late teens. I lost over 50 lbs and have kept it off & I haven’t had cold or flu in over 4 years. . I have a free Facebook group where I offer tips, fb lives, answer questions and share information to help others on their plant based journey. I became a Certified Plant Based ambassador with Wedidit Health to help me help others navigate plant based living. I have 2 shows called Amazing Plantzformationz & Meatless Monday where I share mine and others journeys to their life changes and interview experts in the field of plant based and raw food living. I love hearing and sharing healing stories. I recently began a 6 week coaching program and other programs coming soon to help people get healthy."

Recent, large-scale studies into health outcomes, environmental sustainability and other key concerns for consumers, are supporting the emergence of a new disruptive pet food industry. Dr. Knight is one of the leading researchers in this field internationally and will summarize key recent developments. Andrew Knight is Professor of Animal Welfare and Ethics, and Founding Director of the University of Winchester Centre for Animal Welfare, and Adjunct Professor in the School of Environment and Science at Griffith University, Queensland. An experienced cat and dog veterinarian, he’s also a UK, European and American Veterinary Specialist in animal welfare. He has around 150 academic and 80 popular publications, and an extensive series of social media videos and several websites (including http://www.sustainablepetfood.info ), on vegan companion animal diets, climate change and the livestock sector, invasive animal research, educational animal use, humane clinical and surgical skills training, and other animal welfare issues. He regularly works with animal welfare charities to advocate for animals, and is frequently interviewed by the media. He has received over 20 awards and research grants for this work.

Michelle Tree had been obsessed with food all her life. Growing up overweight she had tried almost every kind of diet but still carried extra pounds into adulthood. When she turned 40, Michelle set out to learn all she could about nutrition and plant-based lifestyles. She read dozens of books, watched countless videos and documentaries and even earned 2 plant-based nutrition certificates. She thought she finally had it all figured it out and wouldn’t have to worry about her weight anymore. But during the lockdowns in 2020, Michelle fell back into old habits of binging on processed sugar products and not exercising. Her health was taking a major hit. On the outside, everything looked fine. Michelle was a group leader of a large online plant-based community and working with other plant-based leaders all over the world but privately she was struggling with depression, anxiety and weight gain. She knew that if she didn’t take control of her life her future health would be compromised. So, digging deep and really challenging herself Michelle embraced some new rules for living and learned health wasn’t just about food. Michelle Tree is the Group Leader of Plant-Based Living Winnipeg in Canada https://www.plantbasedwpg.com She is a passionate food educator and animal advocate who believes in the power of whole foods to transform communities. Since founding the group in 2016, Michelle has grown PBLW to 1400+ members, hosted over 40 potlucks and meetups, held rallies, and campaigned for, and spoken publicly about, the benefits of a plant-based diet. Taking advantage of the opportunities for education, Michelle has completed the Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from e-Cornell and the Moving Medicine Forward Master Class in Plant-based Clinical Nutrition. Michelle’s skill set includes photography and video editing which she does both personally and professionally. In the spring, summer and fall you’ll often find her in the garden, where she grows organic vegetables for her family and friends.

As a nurse, Karín has always been focused on health, but when she developed an incurable chronic health condition, she discovered the gaps in knowledge in the medical community. This launched her into researching how to heal and thrive independently, which started her personal journey of plant-based eating, intermittent fasting, and the use of food as medicine. She has completed the VegHealth Nutrition Mastery Course with the VegHealth Institute, and as a lifelong learner, continues her research on holistic health and healing. Karín was a hospital nurse in Kansas for 23 years, before beginning work in relief provision and mission trips after Hurricane Katrina. She was involved in 15 trips over the course of 6 years, and then made the decision to become a full-time cross-cultural worker in Nepal. She works on empowerment projects for vulnerable girls and women, teaching them valuable skills and providing the opportunity to escape exploitation and marginalization. She uses her writing to fund these projects and provide greater opportunities for the communities she works with. A great lover of adventure, Karín lives in Nepal and travels extensively. She is a self-confessed foodie and loves discovering delicious new plant-based recipes, picking up fresh ideas from every new culture she visits. Having undergone open heart surgery and determined to make life count, Dr. Akil found the best version of himself, changed the way he practices medicine, and now shares his message of living a heart healthy lifestyle with the world. He has spoken on stages, on podcasts, in trainings before his peers and professionals to introduce a message of change that has helped countless thousands and saved lives. Akil Taher, MD is a practicing physician in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He was raised in Mumbai, India, trained in Family Medicine at the Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. Dr Taher is an eternal optimist, explorer, and adventurer, who in 2010, at the age of sixty-one, dramatically altered the conventional script adopted by most bypass surgery patients by undertaking a mountaineering trek/ yatra to Mount Kailash in Tibet. This was a year after his open heart surgery. In October 2011, he ran his first full marathon, the Chicago Marathon; and in September 2012, he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. The highest free standing mountain in the world. Dr. Taher then expanded the canvas of his age-defying adventures by pursuing physically challenging activities on land, sea, and air, including a century bike ride (a 100-mile cycling event), triathlon, white water rafting, hang gliding, and skydiving and bungee jumping. Over the last decade, he has overcome acute and chronic medical ailments by transforming his mind, body, and spirit through the adoption of a whole food plant-based diet, practice of yoga and meditation, regular exercise, and developing a positive and purpose-driven mindset. Colitis in 2005 and have fought that off and on ever since. Just this past March I was also diagnosed with PSC, (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) which is a rare auto-immune disease of the liver's bile ducts. I have managed to get my ulcerative colitis into remission with a whole food plant based diet and I am hoping I can do the same for the PSC. I have also lost 68 pounds since starting this way of eating and I don't even workout!
