Dr. Lawenda, M.D., transformed his own health and subsequently his practice with plant based nutrition. Dr. Steven Lawenda, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine physician in Southern California Kaiser Permanente. In 2013, Dr. Lawenda learned about plant-based nutrition & transformed his own health & subsequently his practice. Along with a nurse practitioner colleague, he co-created and led Lifestyle Medicine programs centered around plant-based nutrition that have helped transform the lives of patients, as well as the way in which health care is delivered at his medical center. In 2020, he continued to pursue his passion even further and became board certified in Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Lawenda launched a new Lifestyle Medicine consultation service with two other colleagues from his medical center .
